This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the FreeAgentsFC mobile application ("FreeAgentsFC", "the app", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and what control you have over it. By using FreeAgentsFC you accept this policy.
1. Summary
- We collect only the data needed to run a football scouting network: account credentials, profile information you choose to publish, and content you upload.
- We never sell your data.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- You can delete your account and your data at any time from inside the app or by emailing support@freeagentsfc.com.
2. Who we are
FreeAgentsFC is operated by Keplo Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, United Kingdom, with registered office at 35 Blackstoun Oval, Paisley PA3 1LR. For privacy questions, email support@freeagentsfc.com. Keplo Ltd is the data controller for the personal data processed through FreeAgentsFC.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Account & identity
- Email address — used to authenticate you and to send essential account messages (password reset, security alerts).
- Display name — shown on your profile.
- Sign-in provider identifier — if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier from that provider so we can link future logins to the same account. We do not receive your password.
- Firebase user ID — an internal ID assigned to your account.
3.2 Profile information you choose to publish
- Role (player, coach, scout, agent, club)
- Player profile fields (positions, preferred foot, height, weight, date of birth, current team, playing styles, strengths, recent stats, availability, travel radius, level)
- Coach / club profile fields (team name, league level, positions needed, team philosophy)
- Bio, location, optional Instagram handle
3.3 Content you upload
- Profile photos and gallery photos
- Highlight video clips
- Direct messages you send to other users
3.4 Connections & engagement
- Profiles you like, shortlist, or send connection requests to
- Conversations you participate in
- Endorsements other users add to your profile
3.5 Technical & diagnostic data
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Anonymous crash reports and error logs (so we can fix bugs)
- Approximate region (derived from IP at sign-in)
We do not collect: precise location, contacts, browsing history outside the app, health data, financial data, or biometric data.

5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients, and only as necessary:
5.1 Other FreeAgentsFC users
Information you publish to your profile is visible to signed-in FreeAgentsFC users by design (this is the point of a scouting network). Direct messages are visible only to the participants of that conversation.
5.2 Service providers

These processors are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data on our instructions.
5.3 Legal requests
We may disclose data if required by a valid court order, subpoena, or other legal obligation, or if necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or threats to user safety.
5.4 We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
6. How long we keep your data
- While your account is active — for as long as you keep using FreeAgentsFC.
- After you delete your account — we permanently remove your profile, photos, videos, and messages within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate analytics may be retained.
- Backup copies are overwritten on a rolling 30-day schedule.
- We may retain limited information longer if required by law (e.g. fraud or abuse records).
7. Security
FreeAgentsFC uses TLS for all network connections, Firebase Authentication for account credentials, and Firestore Security Rules to enforce per-user access controls. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify affected users and the ICO within 72 hours, in line with UK GDPR.
8. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or out-of-date information (most fields are editable directly inside the app)
- Delete your account and your data — Settings → Delete Account, or email support@freeagentsfc.com
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data unlawfully
9. International transfers
Some of our service providers (Google, Apple) may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO and the EU Commission.
10. Children
FreeAgentsFC is not directed at children under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, please use FreeAgentsFC only with the consent of a parent, guardian, or coach. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes we will notify you in-app or by email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
